DRIVING RANGE FOR THE TROOPS IN AFGHANISTAN

Driving Range for the Troops in Afghanistan Thanks to everyone who donated and collected clubs and balls for the new driving range at the Kandahar Air Field.  Our fellow chapter member, Donna McGrath is on a six month civilian tour to Afghanistan.  She is running the Moral and Welfare programs for the troops.  One of her first projects is to build a driving range.  Sheila Fitzgerald, our member and sponsor from Kids on Course heard Donna was over there and started the process by offering Donna some clubs.  The Chapter joined in to collect balls and more clubs.  Honorable mention goes to the Randolph Women's Club and the Canyon Springs men's and women's organizations for the clubs the bags and boxes of balls in all shapes and sizes.  Ghyslaine Lockhart organized the delivery to the warehouse at JBSA Fort Sam Houston.  Kim Fandetti and Deb Humphries helped her with the heavy lifting, consolidation, and delivery. The Kandahar Driving Range is off to a great start!
